Active environmental protection

As a construction company we can´t do without using energy and natural resources. In addition, we realize that buildings consume approximately 40% of the global energy. It is therefore inevitable that we take the responsibility for our actions with regard to the future generations.

In addition to reducing the CO2 production, HOCHTIEF is looking for innovative solutions in the field of renewable energy sources. At a number of its projects and operations the company uses electricity produced from wind and sun and also geothermal energy. Specialists in “energy management” design for our clients such concepts that allow more efficient operation of their equipment and thereby reducing the CO2 emissions.

Our goal: Protection of the environment is for the whole HOCHTIEF group an important topic. We invest time and money in a wide range of measurements that help us to find economical solutions. Our goal is to work efficiently with electricity within the company as well as at our construction projects.
