On Wednesday 22nd June 2005 the lately completed building of the National Integrated Air Traffic Control Center in Jeneč near Prague was presented to the professional public and journalists.
More than thirty journalists accepted invitation to the morning press conference. Mgr. Richard Klíma clarified on behalf of the investor, state-owned company Air Navigation Service of the Czech Republic, the reasons for realization of the given investment. Ing. arch. Viktor Tuček, author of the design, spoke of its preparation phase and Ing. Luděk Vondráček summarized the construction process on behalf of the general contractor HOCHTIEF VSB Division 8.
The afternoon program was prepared for the business partners, colleagues from other corporate divisions and last but not least for all who participated in the successful project realization. More than 250 present guests were greeted by the general director of HOCHTIEF VSB Ing. Václav Matyáš, by the director of the Division 8 Mr. Rudolf Hankovec and on behalf of the investor the speech was held by the general director of the Air Navigation Service of the Czech Republic Ing. Petr Materna.
The company HOCHTIEF VSB a.s. also formally obtained the certificate of work safety management OHSAS from the director of the company STAVCERT Ing. Václav Gorgol, CSc.
Refreshment, a film montage about construction progress and a tour of the IATCC building was prepared for all the present guests.
The first employees of the Air Navigation Service of the Czech Republic will move to the new residence already during 2005. Full operation of the building is planned from early 2007.
